We started at Estes Park where we stopped to get our bearings.
We took the Fall River entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park. I had to get time entry tickets and the bummer was I couldn't go to Bear Laje on those tickets? Anyhoo... we drove a little, I stopped and got pictures, drove some more, stopped again.
Like true pioneers we took the Old Fall River Road path - a one way dirt road with switchbacks and some narrow edges. But wowzers, some wonderful views. Honestly my mom took the most of the pictures from the car. There were so many places to pull over and stop but some of the better views were during the drive.
The road ended at the Alpine Visitor Center. Just as we were arriving there were a bunch of elk who crossed the road.
