Two for One - Meow Wolf and Albuquerque

It's a bonus two days in one post because I'm ready and ready for home.
On Thursday, we went to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. Such a different experience! I need to go again because I feel like I missed so much and I was just getting into the story!
Today we stopped at Capital City Nutrition Protein Smoothies for breakfast. They were the sweetest people there.  Then we drove to Albuquerque. We needed to kill time so we wandered around Old Town.
We stopped at the Museum of art where there were many Georgia O'Keefe paintings.
But also computer nerd history!
We are now at a less than desirable hotel because sometimes cheap is not better but ... just more night! Flying home tomorrow! Ready for bed and my bird babies. And maybe husband.

Los Alamos

I almost forgot to post our travels yesterday. We drove from Taos to Los Alamos.
In Los Alamos we went to Valles Caldera National Preserve. Oh yeah, we had to pass through 'Checkpoint Charlie' because the road to the caldera goes through the lab area.
The Caldera is the remains of a super Volcano that collapsed into itself.  We also got the Backcountry pass so we could drive way out.
I think these are on the way out of Valles Caldera.
Finally we went to the Bradbury Science Museum. It was small but talked about the creation of the bomb and lives of the scientists.

Then we drove to Santa Fe. Okay we were also supposed to visit Fuller Lodge, but we were spent.

Trucking to Taos

We left Colorado today for New Mexico but not before stopping at Chimney Rock.
I can honestly say that everything we've seen has been spectacular!

You could walk to a higher site. They said it was harder and had some rocky bits. But I wanted to do it  - so I did.  I was kinda impressed that I didn't die on the walk up. The altitude was pretty high to start with and ya know... not a hiker. But it was great and I'm glad I did it.

From there, we headed to New Mexico.
We took a mountain route to Taos.
On the way we passed the Rio Grande, so, pics... obvs.

Denver and Home Again (Days 9 and 10)

Okay, so spoiler alert. I didn't take that many pictures these last few days. Eventually, I can spruce them up, because my nephew took ...
