We started the day off checking out Great Sand Dunes Nationsl Park. OMG. i'm in love and it doesn't even have water. Okay, so in the spring there is a creek that runs, but rift now is dry as a bone. I don't even care. Just so much sand.

After the sand, we headed to Durango. Little did I know that we were going over Wolf Creek Pass - which is up on the great divide! Not a road to take in the winter but it was really cool. Very high. A little twisty in spots. and we ended up in Pagosa Springs.
We had lunch in Pagosa Springs - which smelled like Sulphur, and then landed in Durango. It was a little early but we've been driving so much that it was nice.
Ohhh also, we passed Chimney Rock.
